Novak Djokovic suffered a first-round exit at the US Open 2026. The 39-year-old had not lost in the opening round of a Grand Slam since the 2006 Australian Open.
Djokovic described the defeat as an awful feeling on court. His only other first-round loss at a major came at the 2005 Australian Open.
The result ends Djokovic's 2026 Grand Slam campaign in the first week.
