Chacha Cricket retires after nearly six decades in the stands

Abdul Jalil, known as Chacha Cricket, steps away from live matches after 500 Pakistan games and plans to open a restaurant and museum in Sialkot.

Abdul Jalil—Chacha Cricket to everyone who's watched him in the stands—is hanging up his fan days after nearly six decades. He's been to 500 Pakistan matches. Now he wants to build something permanent: a restaurant and cricket museum in Sialkot.

The upcoming Australia series will catch some of his final home appearances. Pakistan lead the ODI series 1-0 after debutant Arafat Minhas took 5 for 32 in a five-wicket win.

Australia will need to handle spin on slow pitches in what's left. Oliver Peake gets his ODI debut in Rawalpindi, and Billy Stanlake's been brought back too.
