Pakistan recalls Salman Ali Agha and Ali Usman for Sri Lanka series after mid-tour England omission

Pakistan brought back two players dropped during the England tour and handed three players their first Test call-ups for the Sri Lanka series.

Pakistan named Salman Ali Agha and Ali Usman in a 14-member squad for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Both players had been dropped midway through the England tour in August. Three uncapped players, Mohammad Taha, Mohammad Suleman and Sameer Minhas, also received their first call-ups after strong domestic performances. Taha leads the President's Trophy run charts with 730 runs in seven matches, including three centuries. Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, who were also sent home from England, remain outside the squad. Babar Azam continues as captain. The series begins later this month.
