Pakistan sack seven players and head coach after England tour

Pakistan dismiss seven players and two coaches after poor results on the England tour.

Pakistan removed seven players, head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul from the tour of England. White-ball coaches Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke were asked to take charge of the red-ball team for the remainder of the series.

Former captain Misbah-ul-Haq resigned from the selection panel and stepped away from his batting consultant role at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The changes follow a difficult tour that included multiple defeats.

The PCB has not announced replacements for the sacked coaches. The remaining tour schedule will proceed under the interim coaching arrangement.
