Pakistan to wear pink jerseys against England in Lahore ODI
Pakistan will wear pink jerseys against England on Sunday as part of a breast cancer awareness initiative backed by the PCB and Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Trust Hospital.
Pakistan swap their usual green kit for pink jerseys when they host England at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the PCB has teamed up with Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Trust Hospital to offer free screenings for fans from October 24 to 26.
Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam have each signed a pink jersey for auction, with the money going straight to patient treatment. Fans will also find pink-themed merchandise on the board's online store. Pink ribbons will be handed to England players, officials and commentators, pink stumps will go in the ground, and the advertising boards will carry the message.
The fixture still matters on the field. Pakistan are chasing a third straight win to reach the final; England sit two points behind and need victory after back-to-back losses.
