PCB awards first central contracts to Pakistan Under-19 players

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced central contracts for Under-19 players for the first time after the team's 3-1 ODI series win in England. Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met the squad in Lahore and praised their performances during the tour. The decision aims to reward results and support the development of young cricketers.

Head coach Shahid Anwar welcomed the move and said financial recognition would boost confidence among the players. Captain Farhan Yousuf highlighted the benefit of the development camps held in Multan over the past two years. Several players, including Aliyan Salman and Jahangir Bilal, said the contracts would allow them to support their families while focusing on their careers.

The board has not released the names of all contracted players or the value of the deals.
