PCB clears Imam-ul-Haq for domestic cricket after injury probe
PCB allows Imam-ul-Haq to play domestic cricket while an NCCIA inquiry into his withdrawal from the England tour remains open.
The Pakistan Cricket Board told Oil and Gas Development Company Limited that Imam-ul-Haq is eligible to play in the final round of the President's Trophy Grade-I. Imam will represent OGDCL after being sent home from England's Test tour.
An investigation by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency continues. Reports indicate his phone and bank records were examined alongside those of Mohammad Rizwan. Former selector Mohammad Wasim alleged Imam has a history of faking injuries, citing a 2022 Multan Test and a 2025 New Zealand tour incident where ink was reportedly used to simulate a toe injury.
Imam missed both innings of the Lord's Test with a reported low-grade calf strain. Former England pacer Stuart Broad publicly questioned the injury after seeing Imam practice with heavy tape on the fourth day.
