PCB confirms PSL 12 auction date and pre-season plan

The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed the player auction for PSL 12 will be held on 23 January 2027. The tournament runs from 18 March to 2 May across five to six venues.

Franchises can complete direct signings of one marquee player each by 23 November, provided the player did not feature in PSL 10 or PSL 11. A franchise workshop next week will finalise retention deadlines, trade windows and playing conditions.

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the season will be the league's most ambitious yet. PSL chief executive Salman Naseer added that expanding to more cities will bring the league closer to fans across Pakistan.
