PCB considers six-a-side tournament to add revenue

The Pakistan Cricket Board is considering a six-a-side tournament to supplement its existing calendar. The proposed event would serve as an additional revenue stream alongside the Pakistan Super League.

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has pushed for the new format, with the plan now under internal review. ESPNcricinfo reported that officials see the shorter format as a way to attract new sponsors and audiences.

The tournament would feature teams from the PSL franchise structure, though details on venues and schedule remain undecided. The board expects the event to provide additional broadcast and sponsorship opportunities.
