PCB investigates Imam-ul-Haq over alleged fake injury claims from 2025 New Zealand tour

Imam-ul-Haq is lining up a lawyer. The PCB has opened an urgent probe into his latest injury claim from the England Test series, and sources say the 2025 fake-injury case is back on the table.

That earlier investigation reportedly found the opener had feigned an injury during the New Zealand tour; the board came close to banning him. Now the same file is open again while Pakistan's tour is still in progress.

The timing matters. Misbah-ul-Haq has already quit, the squad was reshuffled mid-series, and selection fights are playing out through medical reports rather than runs on the board.
