PCB weighs two-year ban on Imam-ul-Haq after Lord's calf inquiry

The PCB is examining whether to impose a two-year ban on Imam-ul-Haq following an inquiry into his calf injury during the Lord's Test against England. The batter did not bat in either innings after the injury struck, and the board is checking whether the reported ailment matched the medical evidence.

The investigation also covers Imam's involvement in an earlier medical controversy in 2025. The board has already flagged separate concerns over wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan's discipline and warned that stricter action could follow in that case.

Pakistan is due to play the third Test at Edgbaston next week while the inquiry continues.
