Prabhsimran, Salil and Ramandeep guide Punjab to 289 for 6

Prabhsimran Singh scored 81 as Punjab reached 289 for six on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy match against Hyderabad at the Gymkhana Ground on Monday.

The pitch offered more to pace than spin, with Rakshann Readdi taking two wickets. Prabhsimran and Salil Arora, who remained unbeaten on 57, added crucial runs after early losses of Vihaan Malhotra and Harnoor Brar.

Ramandeep Singh fell for 52 after a 93-run stand with Salil, while Uday Saharan and Jashanpreet Singh Sidhu also contributed before the close. Hyderabad used six bowlers but could not break the partnership until late in the day.
