Railways hold Rajasthan to Ranji draw after first-innings lead
Rajasthan take three points from a drawn Ranji match after Railways reach 338 and 176 for two.
Railways and Rajasthan settled for a draw in their Ranji Trophy Group D match at Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday. Rajasthan secured three points through a first-innings lead after Railways reached 338 in their first innings and 176 for two in the second.
Railways resumed on 305 for six and lost their remaining wickets within an hour. Left-arm spinner Ajay Kukna took four for 106. Mohammad Saif remained unbeaten on 103 off 118 balls. Rajasthan enforced the follow-on but managed only six wickets in the second innings before the surface flattened.
Captain Kartik Sharma said injuries to Akash Singh and Kukna hampered the bowling attack. Rajasthan next play Uttarakhand in Dehradun from October 26.
