Rain threat rises for India-West Indies second ODI

India face a 96 percent chance of rain in Guwahati for the second ODI against West Indies on Wednesday, according to Accuweather. The match starts at 2 PM IST with precipitation expected to reach 68 percent at that time. India lead the series 1-0 after their eight-wicket win in the first ODI.

The forecast shows chances dropping to 49 percent by 4 PM before rising again to 61 percent at 5 PM. A full 50-over game must begin by 3 PM to avoid losing overs. The match risks being called off if rain persists past 6:30 PM.

India bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule said the series forms part of longer-term preparation for the 2027 World Cup. The team is using the matches to test combinations and give opportunities to different players across formats.
