Royal Challengers Bengaluru reached 63 for two wickets after 5.3 overs while chasing Gujarat Titans' total of 155 for eight in the IPL 2026 final at Narendra Modi Stadium. Venkatesh Iyer scored 32 off 16 balls and Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 29 off 11 balls.

Gujarat Titans posted 155 for eight with Washington Sundar unbeaten on 50 off 37 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two for 29, Josh Hazlewood claimed two for 37, Rasikh Dar Salam finished with three for 27, and Krunal Pandya returned one for 23.

Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first. Sunil Gavaskar had questioned the final's scheduling because RCB enjoyed more rest than Gujarat Titans after qualifying directly for the title match.
