Gujarat Titans posted 155 for eight with Washington Sundar unbeaten on 50 off 37 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two for 29, Josh Hazlewood claimed two for 37, Rasikh Dar Salam finished with three for 27, and Krunal Pandya returned one for 23.
Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first. Sunil Gavaskar had questioned the final's scheduling because RCB enjoyed more rest than Gujarat Titans after qualifying directly for the title match.
