Rebecca Stokell accepts voluntary suspension after anti-doping breach
Rebecca Stokell accepted a voluntary suspension after failing to report prescription medication during the Women's T20 World Cup.
Ireland batter Rebecca Stokell admitted breaching the ICC Anti-Doping Code. The adverse finding came from a sample collected during the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup. Stokell entered a voluntary suspension effective 23 October 2026.
The substance was a prescription medication and was not performance-enhancing. Stokell said the breach was not performance-related. She has played 29 WODIs and 80 WT20Is for Ireland and scored 1,376 international runs across formats.
Stokell's last match for Ireland was in September 2026 against England. Cricket Ireland described the incident as an inadvertent breach of reporting requirements and said the case serves as a reminder of anti-doping obligations.
