Reports say Pragyan Ojha was asked to resolve Kohli-Gambhir communication gap

Pragyan Ojha reportedly acted as mediator between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli on BCCI instructions.

Reports say the BCCI asked chief selector Pragyan Ojha to act as a troubleshooter and resolve a communication gap between head coach Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. Ojha reportedly spoke to Kohli about the issue during his stint as selector.

The same reports state that former chief selector Ajit Agarkar had earlier asked Ojha to communicate to Rohit Sharma that he was not wanted in the ODI team after India's tour of England. Ojha represents South Zone in the selection committee and was promoted to the top job after Ramesh Powar replaced Agarkar as West Zone representative.

Ojha played 22 matches alongside Kohli for India and shares a good relationship with VVS Laxman, whose influence in selection matters is growing.
