Rinku Singh backs Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for 2027 ODI World Cup

Rinku Singh said the entire nation hopes Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli feature in the 2027 ODI World Cup and help India lift the trophy. The Uttar Pradesh batter was speaking to JioStar ahead of India's three-match ODI series against the West Indies. Both Rohit and Kohli are set to return to the ODI side for the series starting on September 27 in Thiruvananthapuram.

Rinku said the two are legends and that it would be a huge moment if they win the World Cup, possibly their last. He added that India have not won the title since 2011. Rohit has scored 1,575 World Cup runs with seven centuries, while Kohli has 1,795 runs with five centuries.

Rinku also expressed his ambition to play Test cricket for India, saying his domestic record shows he can perform across formats despite being viewed as a limited-overs player.
