Rishabh Pant overlooked for West Indies ODIs, to captain Rest of India in Irani Cup

Rishabh Pant has been left out of India's ODI squad for the three-match series against West Indies. Dhruv Jurel was selected as backup wicketkeeper to KL Rahul instead.

Pant will captain Rest of India against Jammu and Kashmir in the Irani Cup at Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar from October 1 to 5. Sarfaraz Khan will serve as vice-captain.

Pant last played an ODI against Sri Lanka in August 2024. His omission comes despite Ishan Kishan's absence from the squad due to Asian Games commitments.
