Rizwan accuses NCCIA of misleading claims over phone return

Mohammad Rizwan challenges the NCCIA's public statements and demands written updates on the investigation into alleged betting and dressing-room leaks.

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has accused the National Cyber Crime Investigation Authority of giving misleading information about his mobile phone. He wants written details of the ongoing inquiry and the return of his device.

Rizwan says the phone was taken in England on August 31. He gave officials the password and was told it would be back within three hours after they checked it with him present.

The 34-year-old appeared before the NCCIA on September 10. Officials reviewed messages on his unlocked phone. He has asked for written reasons for the inquiry and wants all future communication sent to his home address.
