Rob Walter says New Zealand have not put finishing touches on series

New Zealand head coach Rob Walter said the team has not been able to put the finishing touches on matches in the ongoing T20I series against India. He noted that rotating the quicks is not a perfect science but remains necessary ahead of the ODIs and Tests that follow.

Matt Henry will take no further part in the T20I series and will rejoin the ODI squad on November 2. Lockie Ferguson misses the third T20I, while Kyle Jamieson is available only for that match before returning to domestic cricket.

Walter said the rotation decisions were driven by workload management for the upcoming white-ball and red-ball fixtures against the same opposition.
