GT beat RR by 77 runs to move second on IPL table
Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 77 runs at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. GT posted 229 for four and bowled out RR for 152 in 16.3 overs to claim their fourth straight win. Shubman Gill scored 84 off 44 balls and Sai Sudharsan made 55 off 36 balls for a 118-run opening stand.
Rashid Khan took four for 33 and Kagiso Rabada claimed two for 33 in GT's bowling. RR captain Yashasvi Jaiswal chose to field first but saw early wickets from Mohammed Siraj and Rabada. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 36 off 16 balls and Ravindra Jadeja made 38 off 25 balls as top scores for RR.
The result boosted GT's playoff chances to 72.52% per Times of India simulations while RR hold 80.31%. Jofra Archer bowled an 11-run over with wides during RR's chase, per ESPNcricinfo analysts.
