Sooryavanshi Hits 37-Ball IPL Hundred in RR Loss
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed 103 off just 37 balls for Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, marking his second IPL hundred as he launched five fours and 12 sixes, though RR finished at 228/6.
Sunrisers Hyderabad chased it down comfortably in 18.3 overs while losing five wickets, and Sooryavanshi grabbed the Orange Cap with 357 runs at a strike rate of 234.87. Dhruv Jurel contributed 51 off 35 for RR, Donovan Ferreira added 33 off 16, while Jofra Archer picked up 2/34 and Brijesh Sharma claimed 2/44.
Abhishek Sharma fired 57 off 29, Ishan Kishan blazed 74 off 31—with 11 fours and three sixes—before Heinrich Klaasen made 29 and Nitish Kumar Reddy smashed 36 off 18. Pat Cummins, returning from injury, bowled tidily for 1/27, as Eshan Malinga took 2/38. SRH notched a third straight win—they'd beaten DC by 47 runs before this—while RR had edged LSG by 40 runs last time out, and the Jaipur crowd watched those 12 sixes sail away. Kid's got intent.
