SA20 2027 auction to fill 19 slots across four franchises on 7 October

The SA20 2027 player auction will take place on 7 October with 156 players shortlisted from 789 registered entrants. Four franchises will bid for 19 remaining slots after Durban Super Giants and Paarl Royals completed their squads. Joburg Super Kings enter with R20.6 million, MI Cape Town with R9.35 million, Sunrisers Eastern Cape with R3.6 million and Pretoria Capitals with R1.475 million.

Each squad must finish with 19 players, a maximum of seven overseas players and at least two South African Under-23 players. Joburg Super Kings and MI Cape Town must select one Under-23 player each. The auction will be conducted by Dan Nicholl with analysis from Chris Morris and Neil McKenzie. There will be no Right to Match cards available to the participating teams.
