Sachin Tendulkar praises Japan cricket initiative at India match

Sachin Tendulkar has praised organisers of the India versus Japan exhibition match for providing Japanese-language reckoners to help spectators understand cricket. The five-over match, held to mark 75 years of India-Japan diplomatic relations, saw Japan come within two runs of an upset victory. India scored 32 for four while chasing, and Japan reached 30 for three in reply. Tendulkar highlighted the illustrated sheets that explained cricket's basic structure, scoring methods, dismissals and umpire signals to first-time spectators.
