Sachin Tendulkar replies to Reddit question on Sanju Samson with a film line
Tendulkar used a Malayalam movie quote to answer a fan asking what advice he'd given Samson before the T20 World Cup.
Sachin Tendulkar answered a Reddit question about Sanju Samson with the line "Nee po mone Dinesha" — Go, beta, Dinesh — from the 2000 Malayalam film Narasimham.
The fan had asked what advice Tendulkar gave Samson before the 2026 T20 World Cup. Samson had already said he stayed in touch with the batting great through months of struggle. Samson shared the exchange on Instagram and tagged Mohanlal, who replied that Tendulkar once used the same line after hitting a six, and that Samson's bat is now sending bowlers the same message.
Samson was named Player of the Tournament at the 2026 World Cup and is expected back for India's T20I series against Sri Lanka in December. Tendulkar has been Reddit's brand ambassador in India since 2025.
