Saeed Ajmal says PCB has set Pakistan cricket back ten years

Former Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal said the PCB's management has set Pakistan cricket back ten years. He accused them of demoralising players and stunting their development, and he singled out coaches Aaqib Javed and Mike Hesson for the team's current troubles.

Ajmal was responding to PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi's comments after the Lord's defeat. Naqvi defended recent squad changes, but Ajmal argued those tweaks missed the deeper problems. Pakistan are now enduring a whitewash in England.

Ajmal played 35 Tests and 50 ODIs for Pakistan between 2009 and 2014, and he has previously worked as the national team's spin-bowling consultant.
