Sahibzada Farhan set to captain Pakistan in T20Is
PCB has removed Salman Ali Agha as T20I captain and handed the role to Sahibzada Farhan on a long-term basis.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to remove Salman Ali Agha as permanent T20I captain. Sahibzada Farhan will take over the leadership role on a long-term basis, according to sources.
Farhan, who led Pakistan at the Asian Games, will continue as captain for the three-match home T20I series against Sri Lanka scheduled for October 9, 11 and 13 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The PCB is working on a long-term strategy aimed at the 2028 T20 World Cup.
Fakhar Zaman is expected to return to the T20I setup, while the return of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf remains unlikely at this stage.
