Sai Kishore takes hat-trick as Tamil Nadu beat Uttarakhand by an innings and 66 runs

R Sai Kishore claimed a hat-trick and finished with six for 34 as Tamil Nadu completed an innings and 66-run victory over Uttarakhand at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday. The left-arm spinner took three wickets in three balls in the second innings to bowl Uttarakhand out for 113. He had earlier taken four for 40 in the first innings for match figures of ten for 74.

Tamil Nadu scored 313 in their first innings after Uttarakhand made 134. Sai Kishore credited advice from MS Dhoni during his time with Chennai Super Kings for improving his use of the crease and varying his angles. He said the tip from Dhoni has become clearer over the last two years and is now paying dividends.

The win gave Tamil Nadu their first outright victory of the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 season. Sai Kishore has now taken 59 wickets in eight matches across the previous Ranji season despite missing national selection opportunities this year.
