Sam Konstas scored an unbeaten 151 from 167 balls as New South Wales declared their second innings at 262 for five against Western Australia. The target of 364 left the hosts at 30 for three at stumps on day three at the WACA Ground.
Konstas reached his fifth first-class century off 136 balls and accelerated with four sixes and 15 fours. Only Ryan Hicks, unbeaten on 35 from 31 balls, provided support as the rest of the NSW batting order struggled.
Ben Dwarshuis took two for five and Jack Edwards claimed one for none in an eight-ball spell that removed Cameron Bancroft, Sam Whiteman and nightwatcher Corey Rocchiccioli. Western Australia need 334 more runs with seven wickets remaining on the final day.
