Sanju Samson says personal fifty offers little consolation after India defeat
Samson reflects on personal form after India fall short, praising Reddy-Varma stand that kept chase alive.
Sanju Samson scored 56 off 23 but found no comfort in it. India lost by 24 runs chasing 248, and the result left him gutted. A 70-run stand between Nitish Kumar Reddy and Tilak Varma kept them in it until the middle order couldn't push on.
Samson spoke about Shai Hope's unbeaten 102 and the steep target that followed. He stood by Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma, insisting one poor game doesn't erase what they've done. The series sits level at 2-2 ahead of Saturday's decider in Bengaluru.
He pointed out that Reddy and Tilak showed India can still fight after early wickets, and the rate stayed manageable until Tilak fell and West Indies took control again.
