Brad Wheal retires at 30 after recurring injuries end career

Recurring injuries forced Wheal to step away from the game after a decade-long career with Scotland and Hampshire.

Scotland and Hampshire seamer Brad Wheal has retired from professional cricket at the age of 30. He took 51 wickets in 44 international appearances and played in four T20 World Cups, most recently in India earlier this year. Wheal cited four stress fractures in his back and recent knee surgery as the reasons he could no longer meet the demands of fast bowling.
