Sehwag backs Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for more India opportunities

Virender Sehwag has compared Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's attacking style to his own and wants the 15-year-old to play more for India. Once a player reaches international level, Sehwag says age stops being the issue — only performance counts.

Sooryavanshi has played eight T20Is for 246 runs at a strike rate of 186. Yet he's watching from the bench as India keep the same XI that lost the second T20I, with Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma opening again in Indore.

Sehwag believes the teenager's intent to attack from ball one mirrors his own approach and that Sooryavanshi needs chances at the top level to grow, regardless of his age.
