Shafali backs India's middle order ahead of Bangladesh semi-final

Shafali Verma has expressed confidence that India's middle order will deliver in the Women's Asia Cup semi-final against Bangladesh. The opener acknowledged that middle-order contributions have lagged behind the efforts of the top order and the bowling unit throughout the tournament.

India have relied heavily on Shafali and Smriti Mandhana at the top, while the middle order has struggled for consistent runs. The semi-final presents a chance for those batters to step up under pressure.

The team will finalise its strategy closer to the match. Shafali said the bowling department remains a strength that can restrict Bangladesh if the batters play their part.
