Shai Hope says West Indies must do more rights than wrongs to compete in T20Is

West Indies captain Shai Hope said his side must reduce errors if it is to compete in the five-match T20I series against India. Hope made the remarks after West Indies posted 171 in the first match at Lucknow.

Hope said the batting innings became chaotic in the final overs. India chased the target with eight wickets in hand and Shreyas Iyer unbeaten on 102 off 43 balls.

The series continues in Ranchi on Friday. Hope said the remaining matches will require West Indies to execute plans more consistently across both batting and bowling phases.
