Shikhar Mohan earns maiden India A call-up for New Zealand series

Jharkhand batter Shikhar Mohan received his maiden India A call-up on Friday for the second and third unofficial Tests against New Zealand A. The 21-year-old replaces KL Rahul, who will only play the first four-day match before joining India's ODI squad.

Mohan scored twin fifties for East Zone in the Dulep Trophy final and followed that with two centuries in three Ranji Trophy innings this season. Dhruv Jurel will captain India A for the three-match series starting Saturday at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln.

India A lost their opening four-day match after being bowled out for 113 in the first innings. KL Rahul, B Sai Sudharsan and Dhruv Jurel all made single-figure scores.
