West Indies rest Jason Holder for India white-ball tour

West Indies have named Shai Hope as captain for the upcoming three-match ODI and five-match T20I series in India and rested Jason Holder from both squads. The 15-member groups were confirmed by Cricket West Indies on Saturday.

Shimron Hetmyer will miss the ODIs and join the squad only for the T20Is after the Caribbean Premier League. Kamil Pooran earned a maiden T20I call-up, while John Campbell returns to the ODI squad after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The team departs the Caribbean on September 21 and arrives in Thiruvananthapuram on September 23. The first ODI is scheduled for September 27, with the T20I series running from October 6 to 16.
