Shimron Hetmyer scores unbeaten 111 in CPL win

Guyana Amazon Warriors batter Shimron Hetmyer scored an unbeaten 111 to help his side defeat Trinbago Knight Riders by nine runs in a rain-affected CPL match. The Rajasthan Royals player reached his century in 43 balls, joining the 7,000-run club in the process.

Hetmyer's knock formed part of Guyana's total of 185 before TKR fell short of the adjusted DLS target of 182. Mohammad Nabi took 3 for 20 to restrict the opposition. Glenn Phillips had earlier taken a one-handed catch to dismiss Sunil Narine in the third over.

The result takes Guyana to second place on the points table with matches remaining in the tournament.
