Shoriful Islam fetches 2.3 crore points at D3 Trophy player auction

Bangladesh pacer Shoriful Islam fetched the highest price among Category A players at the D3 Trophy player auction on Monday. Citizens Bank secured his services for 2.3 crore points.

Taskin Ahmed went to Walton Group for 2.1 crore points, while Fortune signed Tanzid Hasan Tamim for 2 crore, Najmul Hossain Shanto for 1.55 crore, Soumya Sarkar for 75 lakh and Rishad Hossain for 60 lakh points. Jaker Ali joined Citizens Bank for 1.8 crore points.

Each of the six teams has a budget of 10 crore points. The T20 tournament begins on December 15 in Barishal.
