Shreyas Iyer meets Preity Zinta ahead of Afghanistan series

India's T20I captain Shreyas Iyer was spotted with Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta in Bandra, Mumbai. The meeting took place ahead of the T20I series against Afghanistan.

Iyer assumed the T20I captaincy after leading Kolkata Knight Riders to the IPL title in 2024. He was subsequently acquired by Punjab Kings for the 2026 season.

The sighting follows Iyer's appointment as India captain and comes as he prepares for his first bilateral series in the role. Punjab Kings are expected to build their 2026 campaign around his leadership.
