Shreyas Iyer praises Naman Dhir after record T20I chase

Shreyas Iyer praised Naman Dhir's composure after the all-rounder remained unbeaten on 42 from 15 balls in India's four-wicket win over New Zealand in Christchurch on Thursday. India chased 226 to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

Dhir posted the highest score by an Indian batter at number seven or lower in a successful T20I chase. In five T20I innings he has made 80 runs at a strike rate of 285.71.

Iyer said Dhir gives the team options with both bat and ball. The second T20I is scheduled for Saturday at the same venue.
