Shreyas Iyer's recent T20I form raises concerns despite captaincy success

Shreyas Iyer has scored 206 runs in his last 10 T20I innings at an average of 25.75 and a strike rate of 126.38, with no score above 30. His recent form contrasts sharply with his earlier success as India captain, when he scored 203 runs in his first six innings at an average of 40.60 and a strike rate of 149.26.

In his last six innings, Iyer has scored 98 runs off 85 deliveries at a strike rate of 115.29. During the Asian Games, he managed just 34 runs from 37 balls across the semi-final and final at a strike rate below 92.

Iyer's struggles come as he leads India into a five-match T20I series against West Indies starting Tuesday in Lucknow, three days after guiding the team to Asian Games gold.
