Shreyas Iyer reaches career-best T20I rating of 798

Shreyas Iyer moved to fourth in the ICC men's T20I batting rankings after scoring 40 in the second match of the West Indies series. The India captain's rating climbed to a career-best 829 points before dropping to 798 after a single run in the third T20I. Ishan Kishan leads the list with 904 points, followed by Abhishek Sharma on 891 and Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan on 883.

Iyer's 100 in the series opener helped him overtake several established names despite the modest scores that followed. Farhan also achieved a career-best rating of 883 after scoring 238 runs in three matches against Sri Lanka. Pakistan won that series 2-1 but lost one rating point and stayed sixth in the team standings.

England remain top of the team rankings on 269 points from 41 matches, level with India who have played 70 matches. Australia sit third on 260 points from 38 matches.
