Shreyas Iyer says Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will have to wait for regular T20I spot

Iyer said Sooryavanshi is very young and has more years to earn opportunities at the top level.

Shreyas Iyer said Vaibhav Sooryavanshi cannot walk straight into India's playing XI for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand that begins on Thursday in Christchurch. The captain confirmed that Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson will continue as the preferred opening pair because both have performed consistently and helped India win the T20 World Cup. Iyer added that the 15-year-old would gain valuable experience from touring and would be better prepared for future overseas conditions.
