Former players claim Shubman Gill holds final say on India selections

Former India batter Subramaniam Badrinath said Shubman Gill has the final word on team selections despite Gautam Gambhir being head coach. Badrinath made the claim after India's drawn Test series against Sri Lanka.

Mohammad Kaif questioned why India failed to identify Sonal Dinusha's weakness in Colombo. Kris Srikkanth defended Gill's strategies after the second Test ended without a result.

India won the first Test in Galle before Sri Lanka forced a draw in Colombo. The team remains behind in the World Test Championship points race.
