Sonal Dinusha scores third century of series as Sri Lanka reach 340 for seven

Sonal Dinusha scored his third century of the two-match series as Sri Lanka reached 340 for seven in their second innings on day five in Colombo. The 25-year-old has now scored 50 or more runs in each of his four innings against India across the series.

Dinusha and Keshara Nuwantha frustrated India's bowlers with a dogged partnership after Sri Lanka were asked to follow on. Pasindu Sooriyabandara scored 92 and Kamindu Mendis made 55 in an earlier 115-run stand that helped Sri Lanka avoid an innings defeat.

India need four wickets for victory and a 2-0 series sweep, but persistent rain threatens to affect the outcome at the Sinhalese Sports Club. Shubman Gill enforced the follow-on after Sri Lanka were bowled out for 290 in reply to India's first-innings total of 503 for nine.
