Sikandar Raza to captain Zimbabwe against Australia with Ngarava ruled out

Sikandar Raza will captain Zimbabwe in the three-match ODI series against Australia after Richard Ngarava was ruled out with a lower back injury. Raza steps up from his T20I captaincy role for the assignment. The series begins later this month.

Veteran batter Brendan Taylor returns to the squad along with Graeme Cremer, who will play his first ODI since 2018. Clive Mandande and Tanaka Chivanga miss out from the touring party. Zimbabwe will face a full-strength Australia side.

The three-match series provides Zimbabwe with valuable experience against top opposition. Raza's leadership will be tested against Australia's pace attack.
