SLC welcomes ICC decision not to impose sanctions after Transformation Committee appointment

Sri Lanka Cricket got the nod from the ICC — no sanctions after the government appointed a Transformation Committee to oversee the board. It's the second intervention in a decade. The ICC ran fact-finding visits but decided against penalties.

The relief is real. Earlier cases saw the ICC come down harder. This time, the global body treated the committee's formation as a measured step, one officials had tracked closely since it was established.

The ICC hasn't released further details on monitoring. SLC can now push ahead with internal governance changes without facing immediate external restrictions.
