Smriti Mandhana overtakes Mithali Raj to top women's international run charts

Smriti Mandhana scored 124 off 64 balls against Hong Kong in the Women's Asia Cup, moving past Mithali Raj to become the leading run-scorer in women's international cricket. She finished with 10,880 runs across all formats, overtaking Raj's previous tally of 10,868. India won the match by 137 runs.

Mandhana also became the first Indian woman to score two T20I centuries. The knock took her ahead of Raj and Meg Lanning on the list of most international centuries by a woman. She said she would like three or four Indian batters among the top five run-getters.

India will face Japan in a T20I on September 22. Sophie Devine, Chamari Athapaththu and Meg Lanning remain the leading six-hitters in Women's T20I cricket.
