Smriti Mandhana becomes leading run-scorer in women's internationals

Mandhana's 124 took her past Mithali Raj as the leading run-scorer in women's international cricket.

Smriti Mandhana scored 124 off 64 balls as India Women beat Hong Kong by 137 runs in the Women's Asia Cup at Dubai International Stadium on Thursday. The innings took her past Mithali Raj as the leading run-scorer in women's international cricket.

India posted 193 for five before bowling Hong Kong out for 56. The win confirmed India's place in the semi-finals and gave them four points at the top of Group A. Hong Kong's last five wickets fell in 11 deliveries.

Mandhana also became the first Indian to score two T20I centuries and surpassed Meg Lanning for most centuries in women's international cricket. She said she was unaware of the record until after the match and credited her love of batting.
