Smriti Mandhana takes women's international hundreds record from Meg Lanning
Smriti Mandhana set a new record for most hundreds in women's international cricket; Wahab Riaz defended Pakistan's standing in the tournament.
Smriti Mandhana moved past Meg Lanning's record for most hundreds in women's international cricket with an unbeaten 124 off 64 balls against Hong Kong. The knock came on the off side, the same area where she has scored most of her runs for India.
Wahab Riaz said Pakistan remain the best side in Asia Cup cricket despite their record loss to India earlier in the tournament. Bangladesh face the UAE on Tuesday in a must-win Group B fixture, with a semi-final berth at stake.
Persatuan Cricket Indonesia chief Abhiram Singh Yadav said the country's first Asia Cup campaign reflects both grassroots growth and long-term ambition in the sport.
